Yes and without anything but the network cards on the machines. Most wireless supports 20 - 30 connections. You can also have other machines wired.

Yes. Just search for a wireless network using your PC. Connect to the network. Can do this with a multitude of computers.
A wireless router can support tons of computers, however the clients (computers attaching to the network) have to have wireless network cards inorder to pick up the signal and attach to the network.
