How do you get Companies to Donate computers and other materials to a Church?

My son's Church needs 2 computers, a printer and copier for church business.

The church probably has a bulletin that they print and mail to all members regularly. An announcement in that would be a good idea. It also would be expected that there are announcements near the end of regular services, there's no reason not to include that specific need. Once you get the whole congregation informed, it's a good bet someone knows someone who can provide them.

If that doesn't work, my plan B would be to call other community churches, and see if they know anyone.

You could do direct appeal letters to businesses, particularly those who sell computers, or to the local Chamber of Commerce.

Check out local companies that provide I.T. support. Often times, they have old laptops %26 pc's that can be used by your church, but they don't have a need because they usually get the latest and greatest. And, it's a tax write off for them.
Very well presentation and also look at the local pawn shops, I once bought a P4 for $10.00
Maybe have them go thru the Church directory and see if there is anyone that people know that owns a business that maybe a parishoner. Send out letters asking if they are looking to throw out old equipment that your church is interested. Maybe have the parish throw a specific fundraiser with proceeds going to new office equipment. Bake sales after services always seem to do well with our church.

Good luck.
