Can people put out bad energy that affects computers?

I have heard that people can actually put off energy that has adverse effects on technology, such as computers or cell phones, causing them to malfunction. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, please provide a source so might I be able to read up on this. Thanks.

It's also known as karma. Some people just should not be around computers (and most of them are on Yahoo right NOW)

It's not bad energy but it's static discharge. And it's not the people but their clothing. In other words: people who wear plenty of synthetics have a higher chance of killing electronics than people who wear natural fibers.
Years ago a neigbour claimed that she was unable to wear a wind-up watch since the watch would stop almost straight away.

That is not the only time I have heard that but I have never heard it said of electronic watches.

Few years ago Jenny at work was always having computer problems. I talked her into to deleting all the cr@ppy internet files and cookies, then running Disk Defragmenter every week. That was before XP came out.

Guess What? Most of her problems went away.

After a while though it turned out her computer was a crock, they replaced it and no more problems.
well some people are prone to producing enormous amounts of foul gas around their computers, but I'm not aware of any pc ever having given up the ghost on account of this kind of bad energy.
